Found out at lunch time at Steve Jobs is no longer with us.
Spend the evening reading news about him at cnn.com and listening to his Stanford address and Apple presentations.
It’s a sad day. An iSad day.

Spent another evening reading thru the on-line news and watching videos of a brilliant presenter and fascinating individual.

Decided to write about Steve. It doesn’t feel right not to. 

Felt better at 7 PM when I had uploaded a draft copy to FB. Didn’t publish it yet because it’s not perfect yet. The title, for instance.

Co-founded Apple at the age of 21, working from his parents’ garage. By the age of 25, he was a millionaire. A multimillionaire before he was 30 years old.

iMac is introduced and becomes the fastest-selling computer in Apple's history.
It's incredibly sweet. It's amazing.

iPod revolution started.
It holds 1000 songs. Your entire music library in your pocket.

With the Nano, the iPod shrinks as it evolves.
Ever wonder what this pocket is for ? Now we know. Because (pulls out a tiny device) this is the new iPod.

Today, Apple is going to reinvent the phone.
An iPod, a phone, an Internet communicator.
Are you getting it ? These are not 3 separate devices. This is one device.
And we are calling it the iPhone.

Is there room for a device between a laptop and a smartphone ?
We pondered this question for years as well.

What this device does is extraordinary.
You can browse the web with it. It is the best browsing experience you ever had. It's phenomenal to see. It's unbelievably great. Way better than a laptop. Way better than a smartphone.
And we call it the iPad.


It's so much more intimate than a laptop. This won't be a purchase. This will be a relationship.

You gotta see this thing in person. It is one of the most beautiful design you have ever seen.

He walks onto the stage. Audience gasps, stands up and breaks into frenzy applause for him.

Good morning. Thank you for coming.

It's an all new design. Dramatically faster. Dramatically thinner. And that is iPad 2.


As always, I also like to thank everyone's family because they support us and let us do what we love to do. So thank you very much to our extended families out there, who makes it possible for us to work our tails off making this great product for you.

The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve's success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.


Apple flew the flags at its Cupertino, California, office at half-staff, and people began to arrive on the campus with flowers.

Several Apple employees posted Twitter messages containing only the Apple logo.


So much talk on Twitter of Steve Jobs, but Twitter HQ has been eerily quiet the past few hours save the clicking of keyboards he tailored.

Apple rivals Google and Samsung said Friday that they have cancelled the launch of a new smartphone next week to honour the death of Steve Jobs.
