Just like me, Hann a.k.a. Cikgu Chong, is sceptical that one can find love on-line. “It just doesn’t feel like how love should work. It’s unnatural ?” he asked.
This 4 episode locally produced rom-com is definitely worth a watch. Be prepared with tissues if like me, you’re the type who cries at sad scenes. Cikgu Chong is someone you will definitely root for, especially after watching his online video explaining who he is and why you should help him find his true love by telling him #WhereIsJess

On Swipe, it’s a match between him and Jess, a freelance photographer. “Your profile caption is so bad that it’s good” she tells him. “Sorry, I’m new to this” he replies.
She decides to give him tutoring on online dating, starting with changing his profile photo and description. After reading his revised description, she asked ‘Writing an essay ? You think this is a school homework ?”
With her encouragement, he meets others online. Several miserable dates later, he finally asked Jess, “Why don’t we meet up ?” She agrees, with the condition that she buys him dinner using the voucher she won, with the information from his profile caption “Taiping is the wettest place in Malaysia’. “I knew that being born in Taiping would come in useful someday” he says.
Episode 2
They met up and had a romantic dinner at a fancy restaurant. She gives him an assignment – get to know the real Jess and write a 350 word report. “Due date ?” he asked. She replies “By the third date”. Good sign for Hann – Jess is saying there is a third date 😃
Back at school, Cikgu Chong is given a new assignment – to talk to Amir who was caught using a handphone in the exam hall. He finds out that Amir was trying to write a letter in Chinese to a girl that he has a crush on. Cikgu Chong admonished him to never use his handphone in the exam hall again and then encouraged him to finish writing the letter.

Cikgu Chong encourages Amir to send his letter to his crush, telling him, “It’s not your job to change people’s perception of you. It’s their job to know the real you”. Amir asked, “So I should be true to myself?” With Cikgu Chong’s encouragement, he decided to take action.
On their third date, Jess is touched by Hann’s report on her.
Then she finds out that Hann has lied to Zam that he met her at his brother’s wedding.

Jess is disappointed that Hann is ashamed of how they met. Frustrated, she walks off.
When the news broke at school that Cikgu Chong is dating online, he was given the ultimatum by the Principal to delete the app or lose his job. She asked, "Were you that desperate to find a girlfriend ?" Then told him, "Cikgu Chong, you are a good teacher and someday you will leave a great legacy to your students. This is not you. Delete that app and get your life back on track"
He sees a dejected Amir sitting at the bench. He approaches him and asks what’s wrong. Amir showed him the letter from his crush where she said she can’t do this. He advised Amir to talk to her and asked her why she said no. “If you really like someone, then you shouldn't be afraid”
Amir decides to take his advice and approach Ning. It ends happily for both, with Ning telling him, “Thanks for talking to me. I was hoping that you would”
His grandmother notices that he looks tired and asked him what’s wrong. She is not fooled by his “I’m okay” answer. “It is about a girl ?” she asked. She was then told about the budding romance that has ended, being warned that he will lose his job. She decides to tell him how she met grandfather.
Episode 4
After deleting the app, he tries to search for Jess online but was unsuccessful. Even the Principal notice that he did not look his usual self. He told her he found someone but lost touch with her after deleting the app. “So you have found someone you love online ?” She encourages him to look for her.
Amir exclaimed, “Haiya, sedihnya” when he found out about Cikgu Chong's lost love. He decided to help his teacher find his true love by posting his story online and asking others to help him find out #WhereIsJess
As with all great love stories, Hann finally finds Jess at the airport.

How do I by Amni Musfirah
How do you make the skies ungrey
How do you take the tears away
When words that bad should’ve just left unsaid
How to unwrite a broken dream
When all that you are’s a vision of a life I had when I could call you mine
How do I
